NEW WEBSITE, NEW NAME, NEW SUNDAY NIGHTS AND NEW RULES
The Admin team are pleased to announce the Season 3 Calendar for the Thunder Enduro, plus the Season 2 Calendar for Sunday nights.

Sunday nights in Season 1 has seen the ModSports and Classic WTCC. Next Season will be known as TOURING CAR SUNDAY, and feature the Classic WTCC, the Touring Cars based on the BTCC / WTCC and the new TORC Touring Car Championship. Some of these will run on the same night, some weeks will see standalone longer events for trophies as well as points. Full details of the rules and regs for all these will follow in the next week, but we are pleased to announce a manufactures trophy for the

TTCC series, that will give independent runners a chance to work with the major teams entering the series..

The Thunder Enduro Season 3 regs are out and as you can see below so is the 11 round Calendar for next season, containing some old favourites and a couple of new challenging venues.

The Thunder Enduro is pleased to confirm its continued sponsorship with K-Class Vapes for a third season, which will see all cars running the company logo. The Thunder Enduro will continue to be supported by a different series each week, and please feel free to suggest to the
admin team, any you would like to see.

Over the Christmas period we will see some one off Enduro races, full details on this to follow. Plus we will be running a 24 hour event in support of McMillan Cancer Support. Again full details to follow, but it will revolve around 24 x 1 hour races.

As the headline above says, a new website is coming and with it a change of name. Due to us being more than just the Thunder Enduro, we will be renaming all as TORC, which is the Thunder Online Racing Club. All those who has raced over the past 6 months will be continualy invited to be involved in the direction we take on

cars, races and ideas. The new website will be slicker, with video highlights, team pages and of course the Thunder Mag which will continue with Max Kidmark and Fred Kravitz hard at work. We are also hoping to add to the writing pool in due course.

The new website will give you a chance to update your team profiles and become more involved. We are hopeful to have this all in place by Season 3 of the Thunder Enduro starting.

Driving rankings have been an interesting topic, and we will continue with all those taking part, to make sure we can get these right. We will be tinkering with it for the
Touring Car Sunday slightly. We feel it is important to support the drivers who show up regularly and give all a chance to compete for a series.

As usual please feel free to contact the admin team for any feedback or suggestions and I would like to thank, CQR Posh Rob, Bradderstig, Wambogini, Hopperswwfc, RangersRick and Kninkycowboys for all of their hard work and support, but also to everyone who has taken part of the last 6 months and been involved.

TOURING CARS DEBUT AT SILVERSTONE - 21st OCTOBER 2018
Yesterday saw the first ever Touring Car race run on a Sunday night. The race was bought in as a demonstration race and could form a championship in the future. 19 Cars lined up at Silverstone’s International circuit, under sunny skies. The random grid saw Major Raver and Hoppers on the front row, and the BMW made the early running, finally being overtaken on lap 2 by J47TEE. Not to be beaten, Raver regained the lead overtaking Bradderstig and J47TEE in one move down the Hanger Straight.. Bradderstig was in fantastic form though, the DARE driver is yet to win in the Thunder Enduro and was keen to win this one off round at least. The Honda Civic looked the car to beat at the Northampton

circuit, and Bradders drove it to its max, building up a commanding lead after those early laps and wining by 20secs. Behind him it was a gaggle of Honda’s, with RangersRick leading the chase until lap 24 when Thunder Enduro Champ NikeMikerules got into second and these two had a superb close dice for the remainder of the race to fill out the podium positions.
CQR Posh Rob came home fourth, always in the top 5 from the very start, he was never far from the top 3 and was close to hand if any mistakes were made late on. 5th went to the winner of ProAm and another one of those Honda’s, as Kenty drove well from a
lowly grid slot, comfortably clear of the first of the BMW’s driven by J47TEE. He had a lively battle with Raver for most the race, but a superb pit stop and strong laps on fresh rubber left him clear, he found the car a lot better in the second half of the race and it was a very promising debut by the new runner. Raver followed him home in 7th, after disqualification to BMR Sutton in the Volvo. Sutton had a scrappy first 2 laps, but the Volvo looked fantastic after that and with more work won’t be far off the pace of the Honda’s. This left ABigPieKey in 8th, in another Civic, who lost out in the closing laps on challenging for 7th, 9th went to the recovering Kinkycowboys in a second Volvo.

The top 10 was rounded out by S34ley, another to be making his debut, and the winner of the AM class. He also drove the first of the Chevy’s and had enough in hand to hold off Wambogini in the class AM battle, who was closing fast late on after a brush with the wall in the early laps. AM was well represented, third in the class was another new driver making their debut, and the first female driver in the series. Scarletwitch did a fantastic job in the Audi, only 25 seconds off the class win and beating Badbeat to the final podium slot in AM. For Badbeat it was his first drive in the Chevy, but he showed plenty of promise. 5th in Class went to pre race AM favourite Basslinjunkio, a first lap crash lost him over a lap and also slowed Robraceruk down, who did not enjoy his run in the Mercedes .
Both these two did well to recover and showed good pace in the second half of the race. Hoppers was next up in AM in the second Audi, whilst the final position fell to Devilsbogeyman in a completely untuned off the shelf Mercedes. Finally the last of the 3 Volvo’s, CelticFox was in the top 10 early on and running well, until he needed an extra long stop that dropped him down to 12th.
