K-CLASS CUP SHAPING UP TO BE A CRACKER WITH ITS OWN SERIES TO FOLLOW

Tuesday 11th September sees the K-Class Cup, for the new ModSports cars, supporting Season 2 Media Night at Laguna Seca. The rules for the series are loosely based on those seen in the Thunder Enduro, and this has even seen the series christened, "Baby Thunder". The cars are Pi capped to the drivers ability, so the stars of the Thunder Enduro, the Pro Elite drivers are running at 660Pi, the ProAm drivers at 680Pi and the AM drivers are at 700Pi.

The cars have full aero, racing tyres and racing exhaust, so they look and sound the part, and already the different cars selected, promises to see a varied grid of makes and different drivetrains. Reigning Thunder Enduro team champs, KRR Racing have entered a pair of
V6 Renault Clio's, the car has been flying in the hands of it two star drivers, RangersRick and BMR Sutton. Lap times around the 1.35s have been spied at Laguna Seca, but the car is believed to be hard on its front tyres, will this handicap it over 20 laps on Tuesday?

RML have announced its Development team of long-time team member Robraceruk, and new signing Mad2210 in a pair of Honda S2000's. The car has been close to the pace of the Clio, and the two drivers are very closely matched. Don't be surprised to see this pair battling for the whole race. What of the reigning Thunder Enduro Champion, and RML number 1 driver, NikeMikeRules? No news as of yet, but it is believed that Mike wants to start the new

season by adding the K-Class Cup to the Thunder Enduro title.

Another to confirm early on, were Quicksilver Racing, who will be running CelticFox in a new BMW. Celtic has been very happy with the new car and is confident he will be in the mix. Cerberus have entered two cars for Devil Lord and KinkyCowboys, and rumours are abound that the team have been testing a Honda of some description. The team are believed to be late due to problems with the new Thunder Enduro Ford GT, to the extent that rumours are abound that the team maybe running the Escort Cosworth at the Media day tomorrow instead. DMR have entered its Thunder Enduro car for the K-Class Cup, as
the Hyundai returns in a detuned version to the rules. The Hyundai was always quick at Laguna Seca in the Thunder Enduro, so it will be fascinating to see how it runs at 680Pi in Kenty's hands, and maybe mega in 700Pi trim if Penfold makes an appearance. Have the team been clever by going down this route?

One team extremely happy with its car, are DART who have signed a long term all series deal with Alfa Romeo. Major Raver has been flying in the little 4C sports Car, and the team is extremely bullish of its chances tomorrow and for the new ModSports series. Sister team DARE will be present, rumours are that Bradderstig and CQR Rob are both in a BMW. It promises to be a cracker.
