80's HOT HATCH DEMONSTRATION RACE IS PURE HEAVEN
Round 7 of Season 1 of the Thunder Enduro, saw the debut of the 80s Hot Hatch Heaven. The series is the brainchild of Kinkcowboys, and is a possible support series for next season to the Thunder Enduro. Builds and tunes for the cars were shared, and a fantastic response was received as 17 Thunder Enduro drivers showed up to make a bit of history.

Kinkycowboys aim was to create a plug and play series that offered cars equal overall, but all with strengths and weaknesses. The grid had Ford Fiesta's Honda CRX's, Renault 5s and VW Rabbits.

7 Laps lay a head, the action was fraught from the first corner, with lights and mirrors
broken off and panels dented, ABigPieKey made his escape from random pole to lead the opening lap. In fact he looked set to win the first ever race, but was denied by Thunder Enduro leader, NIKEMIKERULES who charged through the pack in a Honda CRX to win.

Such was the enjoyment, that the whole grid wanted another go, and it has been agreed to run them again next week at Mugello.

Early indications are that this will make a fantastic series, and the aims of creating equal cars that are fun has been achieved.

I think we agree, that Kinkycowboys has created a series that will prove to be popular.
