INTERVIEW WITH TEAMS CHAMPIONS KRR RACING BY MAX KIDMARK
MAX KIDMARK:- So, KRR team champions for series one of Thunder Enduro!. How does that feel and were you expecting that?

RANGERSRICK:- I wasn’t expecting to win the championship what with missing a few rounds and the big crash, Kris with his DQ and our terrible results on the low pi. Delighted that we did though.
​
BMR SUTTON:- I knew we would win it, we just had the Lancia dialled in right from the get go.
MAX KIDMARK:- You turned up on the grid race day one with a Lancia, much to the amusement of others, yet ended up with arguably what was the car of the championship. Whose idea was it to use that car?

BMR SUTTON:- Ricks idea for the Lancia, a masterstroke it proved too.
​
RANGERSRICK:- I’ll take credit for the choice of car!!! I tested a few before hand as did Kris and found the old Lancia to be more competitive than others. In truth, got fed up with testing so just stuck with it!!

BMR SUTTON:- I felt it would be better in rwd, rick was more comfortable running awd. Plus he cant drive rwd, to tail happy for the scotsman
MAX KIDMARK:- It seems you have a good pairing and your overall results individually of 4th and 5th show that, What are your hopes for season 2?

RANGERSRICK:- Team champions again and a top 5 overall for me. I also like the class format and would love to win that or be fighting for it.

BMR SUTTON:- Same here, defend the teams title and a top 5 individual place.
MAX KIDMARK:- Last season you split your cars with regards to their drivetrain, one rwd, one awd. Is that going to be repeated this season?
​
BMR SUTTON:- No, Ricky has put his big boy pants on now and is going to step into rwd also.
​
RANGERSRICK:- Yeah RWD for my first defence of a championship will be interesting, I gotta beat my team mate this time too though!!
MAX KIDMARK:-Now, Going into the first round there where talks around the paddock that the series wouldn’t work and the pi changes wouldn’t offer close enough racing. What where your thoughts then and have they changed now?
RANGERSRICK:- I was all for this series from the word go!!! Like a breath of fresh air having a real mix on the grid. It really produced some good racing.
MAX KIDMARK:- Going into season two, who do you see as a threat individually and collectively as a team?

RANGERRICK:- Obviously Mike and who ever he teams up with, Bradders and Posh Rob are gonna be super strong especially in the Ferrari 360 which is a good car. We are just going to have to up our game a bit more.

BMR SUTTON:- I agree with that too, we have a chance doing a full season of pressuring Mike.
MAX KIDMARK:-Throughout the last series we had a few support races, which ones did you enjoy the most and which ones would you like to see as a series?
​
RANGERSRICK:- I didn’t race the clios, but the WTCC classic cars where wicked. The little hot hatches were super fun too!!! But the Classic WTCC stole it for me!!
MAX KIDMARK:- With the increase of PI for season two we’ve seen a lot of car changes, some teams even this close to media day haven’t decided yet. However your team was very quick to announce you’d be running a pair of Porsches. Was that something you had in mind for a while?

RANGERSRICK:- Ive no idea really, it was Kris’ turn to choose!!

MAX KIDMARK:- Well im sure if you can get a handle on them you will both be hard to beat!!
