VEEPZ AND CQR ROB DENIED OF A CLEANSWEEP AT BRANDS HATCH OPENING ROUNDS

And we are off, last night saw the opening 3 rounds of this seasons THORS Touring Car Series, at the Kent circuit of Brands Hatch. 20 drivers lined up in Pro, and 17 in AM in what was a fantastic turnout in changeable conditions around the Indy circuit.
Even before the 24 laps started, reigning champion Veepz was the man to beat and he did so in style, beating the impressive VTX Gashley, these two the only drivers getting into the 47s. Third Place fell to TheRacingNova. Race 2 saw a repeat from the pair, but BMR Sutton led the chase this time grabbing the final podium slot. For race 3 all eyes were on whether the Trade
Price Audi could do it again, but he was fantastically denied by RangersRick82 and the Chevy Cruze, that managed to hold off the charging pair of VTX Gashley and JSR Veepz in the wet conditions.
Over in AM and CQR Rob was on a mission to do the same. He took the lead early on form CallMeArgon and looked set to start the season in style, until he lost power and had to retire. CallMeArgon took up the reigns for a debut win, chased hard by Diboor and JackMather. CQR Rob had it all to do in race 2, and charged through the field to beat CallMeArgon by 15seonds, with RGreenwood taking third on the line after Captain Storer found an errant

backmarker on his way on the last corner. Race 3 was wet and the race was led early on by Major Raver in the BMW, but there was no stopping CQR Rob who took the lead mid race and held the BMW off to win his second race of the day.
Behind them was a fantastic battle between the Audi's of Diboor and CallMeArgon, Diboor holding the position until lap 14 when he was passed and had to settle for fourth place.
So on to Road Atlanta Full next week, and already JSR Veepz and CQR Rob are the guys to beat in Pro and AM.
